Sustainability exhibition
From 14 to 25 April 2025, an exhibition on sustainability research at the HM took place in the R-Bau, in front of the Roter Würfel, organised by the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education in collaboration with the HM’s Studentisches Green Office (a student-led sustainability office). To help integrate the topics presented into teaching, visitors were able to view exhibits on individual research projects relating to sustainability.
Background
With its University Development Plan (HEP) 2023, Hochschule München has presented a sustainability strategy and made it its mission to integrate and practise sustainability. Among other things, the HEP sets out the objectives of strengthening academic discourse on sustainability-oriented research within the university and promoting sustainability in Teaching. Furthermore, the university aims to embed sustainability across the entire institution and to foster a culture of sustainability. Raising the profile of sustainability-related research and fostering interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary collaboration among researchers are identified as specific objectives within the ‘Research’ action area.
Through innovative presentation methods, this exhibition will raise the profile of sustainability research at the university whilst also building a bridge between research and teaching. In particular, by focusing on students and making use of interactive and physical elements, the research will become more tangible and its relevance will be communicated.
