Public Climate School
From 9 to 15 November 2026, it’s that time of year again: the Public Climate School (PCS) is coming to Hochschule München! The PCS is an educational initiative that aims to place climate education at the heart of public discourse. To complement the official PCS programme, Hochschule München is putting together its own exciting programme for you. As in previous years, lecturers will also be linking their specialist topics to the PCS content in their lectures.

Information about the Public Climate School
The nationwide PCS was initiated and organised by Students for Future (StufF). In Munich, StufF, together with us and the student-led sustainability departments at TUM, LMU and HMTM – form the core team of the PCS.
Every lecturer and every student acts as an ambassador, helping to spread the message of the PCS and the content of lectures on climate justice, climate protection and climate change to the wider community. All interested staff and students who would like to get involved with the PCS or the HM's sustainable development initiatives are warmly invited to get in touch withh the Studentisches Green Office (SGO) (a student-led sustainability office). Lecturers can find materials to help them structure their teaching during the PCS in the ‘Downloads’ section (see below). Students can also find inspiration there for a collection of questions to encourage critical reflection on the lectures they have attended.
We look forward to your interest and your participation in the PCS events and courses, because “Change begins with education!”
