Are you about to graduate? Or are you already an alumnus of Hochschule München and a new chapter in your life is waiting for you? It’s always a good idea to find out about your options. There are also many different ways to return to Hochschule München.
Job search, starting your career & career development
Are you looking for a job? Then it’s worth taking a look at our Hochschuljobbörse (job portal). Here you’ll find job vacancies for alumni, as well as roles that require some initial work experience. There’s a section on recruitment events where you can find exciting events organised by companies and actively explore new career options.
It is also well worth visiting the Services section of the Career Center. Here you will find links to career fairs and career resources , links to national and international job boards , guidance on preparing application s, and help with job hunting and applying for roles.
Start-up funding
Make the most of the fact that Hochschule München is one of the few EXIST start-up universities in Germany. The Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) is Hochschule München’s entrepreneurship centre.
As an alumnus, you can benefit from a wide range of services offered by the SCE and, for example, take advantage of start-up support free of charge. Perhaps your business idea will get just the boost it needs with the support of Hochschule München. Why not give it a go and find out more here.
Abroad
Are you tempted to go abroad after completing your studies? Before you want to kick-start your career, do you still feel drawn to distant horizons? Many people feel the same way. However, there is often a general sense of uncertainty when it comes to the question of how such a stay abroad should be organised and funded.
Some programmes are specifically aimed at postgraduates.
We can recommend the DAAD scholarshipdatabase. There, you can select, for example, ‘Postgraduate programmes’ in the filter. Please note that for some programmes, enrolment is still required, whilst for others it is not.
Please note that you must take out insurance, even if you are abroad. As you no longer have student status as an alumna or alumnus, the cost of health insurance is significantly higher. Please contact your insurance provider to find out about your cover and the costs involved.

Just because you’ve graduated from Hochschule München doesn’t mean your time here has to be over.
Even after you have completed your (first) degree, HM offers you a range of other attractive opportunities: a master's degree, a second degree, further professional development, certificates, a doctorate or a position at the university. .
