Information on the application portfolio
The application pack
A standard application pack consists of:
Application portfolios are generally no longer sent in paper form by post, but are compiled as PDF files and submitted online (e.g. by email or via the careers portal). Here is a short checklist of things you should bear in mind:
- Length: 1 page cover letter, approx. 2 pages CV plus cover sheet
- Spelling, punctuation
- Signature (scanned)
- Complete and accurate provision of data
- Completeness of the documentation
- A consistent design across all components of the application pack (common theme)
- The same date on all documents
- Correct business address
- Company contact person
- Including your own contact details on your cover letter, CV and cover sheet
- Order of documents: Cover sheet, CV, summary of qualifications, certificates
- Do not include unnecessary filler words or characters (e.g. CV, colons, repetition of information)
