1. Accepting a place to study – bachelor's degree programmes only
I would like to accept my place at university. What do I need to do?
Please follow these steps:
(The steps are also explained in more detail in the admission letter, including the relevant deadlines.)
Step 1 – Upload a photo
Please upload a passport photo via the ‘Application Progress’ section of your application portal. We will need this later for your digital student card.
Step 2 – Application for enrollment
Please confirm your application for enrollment in your application portal under ‘Application Progress’ within the deadline specified in your admission letter (by clicking on the green button) if you wish to enroll on a binding basis.
Step 3 – Basic contribution to the Student Services
All students must pay the basic fee to the Student Services Organisation. This also applies to students on leave of absence and those undertaking a practical placement or studying abroad. Furthermore, extra-occupational degree programmes are subject to fees. Fees also apply to students from non-EU countries. You may receive a payment request along with your admission letter.
How can I pay?
Payment is processed via PRIMUSS Online Services and the ePayServiceBayern system operated by the State Office for Finance (LfF).
You can pay by credit card (Mastercard, VISA) or via PayPal.
If these options are not sufficient and you require our bank details for a bank transfer, please contact the Examination and Internship Office.
Step 4 – Documents
To complete your enrollment, you must upload the signed ‘Declaration of Enrollment’ (page 3 of your admission letter) and any missing documents.
You must also notify your statutory health insurance provider and request proof of your insurance status, which the provider will then send electronically to Hochschule München.
People with private health insurance must apply to a statutory health insurance to be exempted from the compulsory insurance requirement.
What happens after step 4?
The Enrollment Office checks that steps 1–4 are completed on time.
What happens if I don't meet the deadline?
If you do not confirm your application for enrollment by the deadline specified in your admission letter, or if you do not complete the individual steps within the specified timeframe, your admission will lapse and your place will be allocated to another applicant.
