In dual studies, there is a particular focus on the integration of theory and practice in the curriculum. When there is an intensive and systematic integration of theory and practice, this is referred to as a dual study programme. Due to this close integration of theory and practice, the relevant degree programmes are accredited as ‘dual’ by the German Accreditation Council and are marked as such in the list.

In the case of degree programmes that are not accredited as dual programmes, the term ‘Studium mit Praxispartnern (academic study with practice partners)’ is used. Here, too, the focus is on the transfer of theory into practice. However, the integration is less pronounced than in dual study programmes. These degree programmes are also accredited in principle, but not under the ‘dual’ profile criterion.

Below you will find an overview of dual study programmes and/or degree programmes in which it is possible to study in partnership with a practice partner; these are currently offered under the two study models: the Verbundstudium (academic study combined with vocational training) and/or the Studium mit vertiefter Praxis (academic study with intensive in-company training).
