Study social sciences
The Department of Applied Social Sciences places people at the heart of its work. Across the fields of organisation, science, law and practice, the degree programmes focus on supporting people and organising social structures in a wide variety of sectors.
With currently around 2,200 students enrolled on its bachelor's degree and master's degree programmes, the Department of Applied Social Sciences at Hochschule München on the Pasing Campus is one of the largest academic institutions in this field.

Interdisciplinary practical skills
We provide interdisciplinary knowledge on the development and promotion of digital, intercultural, sustainable and entrepreneurial skills. In addition to interdisciplinary degree programmes, we offer academic electives for all students at the university.
Our professors and lecturers from various disciplines within the humanities, cultural studies and social sciences teach, conduct research and are actively involved in transfers, with a view to addressing social, economic, political and technological developments from interdisciplinary and evolving perspectives.

With 25 Professors and more than 50 lecturers with industry experience, the Department of Tourism at Hochschule München boasts the largest and most diverse pool of tourism-specific teaching expertise in Europe. Furthermore, through our wide-ranging international partnerships and industry collaborations, we are active in applied research on a global scale.
This offers students excellent opportunities to spend a semester abroad and to forge close global links with the professional world, for example through seminars, practical projects and final-year dissertations.
