Student Representation
Student Representation (StuVe) promotes student participation at university and faculty level, plays an active role in shaping university life, and represents students in matters relating to their financial, academic and social interests. At the heart of student representation is the Student Parliament; in addition to the university committees, there are also many roles that students can take on a voluntary basis without being officially elected.

Student Parliament
The Student Parliament is the highest decision-making body representing students at Hochschule München. It consists of 44 elected students from all 14 departments of the university. The Parliament establishes committees and working groups to implement its decisions and to work independently on issues relevant to students.
The Student Parliament comprises one representative from each department student representation, as well as representatives directly elected by the students of Hochschule München from among their own ranks – twice as many as the department student representatives. In addition, there are two student representatives on the senate.
The Executive Committee of the Student Parliament consists of six members. The Student Parliament elects an Executive Committee from among its members by a majority vote. The two representatives of the student group in the senate are ex officio members of the Executive Committee. The member who receives the most votes serves as Chair.
The term of office of the Student Parliament’s Executive Committee ends with the term of the Student Parliament, which is elected for a period of one year.
Further information can be found on the STUVE website, in the Statutes of Hochschule München, and in Article 46 of the Bavarian Higher Education Act.
Student Representation
The Students’ Representatives of a department form the department student representation. The department student representation consists, on the one hand, of the ‘official’ student representation, which has been elected to the Faculty Council. On the other hand, the department student representation largely comprises other members who wish to get involved. Membership is regulated individually by each department student representation.
The Student Representative is the student who received the most votes in the election and who represents the students on the Faculty Council.
