Shenzhen Technology University Undergraduate Students attended a two-week summer school programme

In mid-July, 26 students and three teachers of Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) arrived in Munich to attend a two-week summer school programme focussing on “Industry 4.0”.

The programme, especially designed for the Shenzhen Technology University Undergraduate Students, was organised by Vice-President Prof. Dr. Klaus Kreulich, Prof. Dr. Martin Renner (Department of Building Services Engineering, Paper and Packaging Technology and Print and Media Technology), Prof. Dr. Mathias Gabrysch (Department of Engineering and Management) and the International Office. The main goal was to provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities in connection with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 4.0.

In addition to the technical classes, such as Smart Manufacturing, Smart Buildings and Cities and Smart Printing, the program covered intercultural aspects and included a number of relevant field trips to manufacturing sites (e.g. MAN Bus and Trucks) as well as to other Bavarian universities (Regensburg and Kempten).
