09.07.2026 - 14.07.2026
Language
English
Target group
Research assistants and doctoral students. It is best to participate if you are planning to publish a journal article in the coming months.
Requirements
None. However, please feel free to bring ideas or notes for an upcoming publication so that the practical exercises can be tailored to them.
Learning objectives and content
- Let's get started. We practice methods to overcome writer's block and prepare writing in a structured way.
- Understanding the system. How do I choose the right journal, what is the significance of journal rankings, how does the review process work? We answer these questions and discuss what this means for us as scientific authors.
- From theory to practice. We apply what we have learned directly, write our first short texts, and give feedback.

The event consists of two parts, and it is advisable to attend both dates. A little preparation for the second date is necessary between the two dates.
